sheffcam_iphoneI’m pleased to announce the availability of a new iPhone/iPod touch WebApp for the Sheffield area.

Produced in conjunction with Sheffield City Council, SheffCam gives you access to the 30+ traffic cameras in around around the Sheffield area all within an easy to use interface.

Please visit sheffcam.com on your iPhone/iPod touch to start (as a bonus you can also FULLY access it on the desktop using Safari for Mac or PC, even better you can make it into a dashboard widget on a Mac using the web-clip feature from within Safari).

I plan on making a native version for the Apple app store in the future with lots more features so if you have any feature requests please let me know.

Thanks to all those who beta tested the WebApp…Enjoy.

Not sure I like the wood background, but I’ll definatly be adding it as a bookmark!

I’d thought of doing exactly the same thing in the past, but never got round to it, I was planning on using a map to choose cameras because the names are hard to read on the iPhones drop down list widget.

    2. Thanks for the feedback Stuart. Hoping to add a few more features to the webapp version before I crack on with a native app and yes maps will be a big feature of that. Taking on board all the comments about the wood effect (why do people dislike it in beyond me lol), I kinda like it but will look at changing it in the next update.

      Thanks again.
